At Christ Life Corpus you will find people just like YOU. People who are imperfect but are being perfected by a gracious and patient God. Christ Lifers are passionate about loving God and loving others. We believe Jesus is worthy of all of our praise and all of our lives because we personally know His redemptive and transformative power and we've never been the same.

On Sunday mornings you will find a casual atmosphere, friendly faces, meaningful worship, personal prayer ministry, a Christ-centered message, and an opportunity to grow with a church family who is making a difference one person at a time in Corpus Christi and around the world.

What Do We Believe?

  • Eternity

Those who have received Jesus will spend eternity with Him. Those who reject Jesus will spend eternity  in the torment of Hell, separated from the presence of God. (Mark 16:16; Revelation 19:20; 20:10-15)

  • Salvation

Salvation is the scriptural word for new-life found in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Prior to Salvation, mankind is in a fallen state due to the original transgression of Adam in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:6&7)

Mankind's only hope of salvation is through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Salvation comes through confessing with the mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believing with the heart God the Father raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 10:9; Romans 8:11)

"Born again" is a biblical description of a person who has received salvation through Jesus Christ. A person knows he or she is born again by the inward witness of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16). Other people know someone is born again by a lifestyle that produces good fruit (a life becoming more and more like Jesus). (1 John 3:23; John 13:35)

Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by works; but we show evidence of our salvation through good works. Those good works after salvation determine our rewards in Heaven. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; 14:10-12; 1 Corinthians 3:12-15; Titus 3:5-7; James 2:18)

  • Church

The Church is the Body of Christ, continuing the work Jesus began while on the earth. Each believer is a part of the Body of Christ, with a specific function to perform. (Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22; Romans 12:3-8)

Our Story

Our Story

Pastors James and Rochelle met in their 20's while serving in a ministry that brought concerts to Corpus Christi. They have continued to serve in the local church and God's kingdom together ever since for 28+ years. After being at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship for 14 years, they felt God call them to start Christ Life Church Corpus Christi in 2023. James and Rochelle are dedicated to preaching a Christ-centered message, loving people where they are, and helping believers grow as disciples. They wholeheartedly believe that the Word of God is applicable to everyday life and is the foundation for healthy relationships.

Pastor James' Journey

James had a life transforming encounter with Jesus at 20 years old and has never been the same. He loves leading worship and teaching God’s word. He has been on staff as worship pastor (and student pastor for two years) in three different churches for over 25 years in the South Texas area. James has recorded two praise and worship albums and has mentored other worship leaders over the years. Alongside Rochelle, they regularly provide counseling to individuals and marital counseling together. James has his Certificate in Ministry from Stark College & Seminary is continuing his theological studies.

Pastor Rochelle's Journey

Rochelle has been fully surrendered to Jesus since she was 15 years old and started speaking a few months before her 17th birthday. She has been involved in every facet of church life over the 30+ years of her walk with the Lord. An underlying theme to Rochelle’s calling is to help people have healthy relationships rooted in Christ for the glory of God. She is also an author and her ministry experience includes speaking, teaching, being a women’s ministry director, leading small groups, and coordinating all types of ministry events. Rochelle has her Diploma in Ministry from Stark College & Seminary and a Master’s in Family Ministry from Logsdon Seminary. As a biblical counselor, Rochelle counsels women and provides pre-marital and marital counseling to couples together with James. Additionally, Rochelle serves as Chief of Staff at Stark College & Seminary and as an adjunct professor as well.
